- Tap AI Nameplate Scan: On the home screen of Equipment Tracker Pro, find the "AI Nameplate Scan" card under the "LOOKUP & IDENTIFY" section and tap it, then choose Camera or Photo Library to begin. - Capture Nameplate Photo: Allow camera access, align the viewport over the data plate, and snap a clear photo. Ensure the nameplate text and stamped lines are well-lit and fill most of the frame. The upload prompt overlay followed by the camera viewfinder focusing on a physical nameplate.
- Verify Extracted Specs: Wait a few seconds for Gemini AI to parse the nameplate image and automatically populate model, serial, SEER, BTUs, voltage, and refrigerant specs. Tap SAVE. The pre-filled specifications form displaying the extracted parameters and nameplate photo attached.
- Select Condition Mode: Open any equipment profile and tap "AI DIAGNOSTICS". Choose "Technician Report" mode (or "Homeowner Check"), then select the photos to analyze. Tapping "AI DIAGNOSTICS" on an equipment profile and choosing "Technician Report" mode in the condition scan setup screen.

- Scan Service Receipts: Tap "Scan invoice" on the dashboard (or "SCAN INVOICE" in equipment details) and photograph any receipt or work order.
