- Open the Refrigerant Log: Open the equipment, tap MAINTENANCE, then Service Log and the +. Open REFRIGERANT LOG and fill in the refrigerant, the SYSTEM CHARGE (LBS), the AMOUNT ADDED and the DATE OF LAST CHARGE. The system charge on this form is what the check uses; the date of the last charge is what turns it into a yearly rate. The REFRIGERANT LOG section of a new service log, filled in.
- Check EPA Leak Warnings: The annual leak rate is worked out as you type. If it is over the line for that kind of equipment (10% comfort cooling, 20% commercial refrigeration, 30% industrial process), the log shows EPA FLAG and a red banner naming the threshold and the 30 days to repair. The check applies from 15 lbs for HFCs such as R-410A, and from 50 lbs for ozone-depleting refrigerants such as R-22. It is hidden when the app is set to metric units.
